What this site is

Talebottle is a place where people write about their problems and memories without revealing who they are, and in return read a story from someone elsewhere in the world, in their own language.

Who can use it

This site is for people aged 18 and over.

Sharing rules

• Write about your own experiences and thoughts.
• Don't write real names, phone numbers, addresses, names of schools or workplaces, or social media handles; don't share other people's secrets in a way that identifies them.
• Don't target anyone: no hate speech, harassment, humiliation or threats.
• Don't share sexual content. Any sexual content involving minors is strictly forbidden.
• Don't share instructions to harm others or any illegal content.
• No ads, links, contact requests or spam.

Content moderation

• Every post is checked by AI before it's published. Posts the system is unsure about are reviewed by the site admin.
• If a post can't be published, we tell you why.
• Stories that break the rules can also be removed later. A story that receives several reports is hidden temporarily until it's reviewed.
• People who seriously or repeatedly break the rules may be blocked from sharing for up to 30 days.

Reporting illegal content

If you believe a story is illegal, use the "Report" button below it or write to contact@talebottle.com. We review reports as quickly as we can.

Your story

Your story is yours. By sharing it, you allow us to show it anonymously on this site and to translate it into other languages. You can delete it at any time from the My stories page. You can edit it once after sharing; the edited text is checked the same way before it is published.

Narration on YouTube (optional)

• If you separately allow it when sharing, your story may be narrated anonymously on Talebottle's YouTube channel and short videos, which may earn revenue. If you don't allow it, your story is never used in a video.
• Nothing about your identity is used. The story may be shortened, translated and lightly edited so it reads clearly; its meaning is not changed.
• Permission is asked separately each time you share; there is no general permission. Permission you give for one story applies only to that story.
• You can withdraw permission at any time from the My stories page; from then on your story won't be used in new videos.
• Even if permission is withdrawn or the story is deleted from the site, videos already published stay online. A published video is removed or edited only when there is a legal obligation (for example a court order, or if the story makes a person identifiable).

Liability

Stories belong to the people who wrote them; we can't guarantee they're accurate. The site is provided as is and may sometimes be unavailable.
